Kirk Cousins says he doesn’t expect talks surrounding new contract soon
Kirk Cousins said he hasn’t had further contract talks with the Vikings since the sides agreed this spring not to do an extension and he doesn’t expect any talks until next March, when his deal expires.
Fantasy Impact
“Until then, just focus on this season and the job to do right now,” Cousins said. The Vikings have had a lot of regular season success with Cousins, but it has been a different story in the playoffs. It should be a huge prove-it year this upcoming season for Cousins undercenter.

DeAndre Hopkins, Patriots optimistic about possible agreement
New England is optimistic that they will be able to reach an agreement with free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins.
Fantasy Impact
The Patriots have about $14.2 million in cap space, though Hopkins’s price remains an enigma. The other concern is finding an agreement between the two parties regarding the 31-year-old’s practice schedule, which has waned in recent years. His fantasy value remains tied to the QB of the team where he ends up, and Mac Jones would be considered an average option.

Jonathan Taylor and Colts in talks for an extension
Jonathan Taylor and the Colts have had talks on a potential extension. Taylor said he’s hopeful they can come to an agreement before the season starts but he’s aware of the current state of the running back market.
Fantasy Impact
It’s a sad reality for a young and talented running back like Taylor, one in which NFL teams have most, if not all, the leverage. Taylor is young enough that he should still receive an offer, but there’s no telling if it will match what he believes he’s worth. Fantasy managers would be wise to keep a close eye on the young backs’ future.
