Ricky Nolasco surrenders five runs to the Rays in loss

by Kevin Black | Wed, May 24th 11:55pm EDT

Ricky Nolasco pitched six innings of five run ball against the Tampa Bay Rays. He struck out six batters, allowed seven hits, three home runs, and two walks. Steven Souza Jr. did most of the damage, hitting two home runs off of Nolasco.

Fantasy Impact:

Ricky Nolasco is unreliable and way too prone to the long ball to to trust as a fantasy asset. The 2.26 home runs per nine are a big problem and his FIP over 5.00 means that he is unlikely to see any dramatic improvement that would make him an impactful fantasy starter.
