Dustin Pedroia (knee) is not in the starting lineup Friday against the Mariners, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports. Pedroia was removed from Thursday's game after encountering soreness in his left knee, something that has given him trouble in the past. (Jason Mastrodonato on Twitter)
