Chase Anderson tosses six shutout innings for win

Chase Anderson (11-3) delivered a quality start on Tuesday throwing six scoreless innings to pick up his 11th win of the season in the Brewers' 1-0 victory over the Pirates. Anderson allowed five hits and no walks while striking out eight in the 99-pitch effort.

With Jimmy Nelson out, Anderson has stepped up his game allowing just one run over his last three starts (0.55 ERA) on his way to three straight victories. Anderson will pitch the final game of the Brewers upcoming four-game series against the first-place Cubs on Sunday. Anderson beat the Cubs in Chicago earlier this month while tossing five shutout innings.
