Tony Watson signs deal with San Francisco Giants

Left-handed reliever Tony Watson has signed what is believed to be a multi-year deal with the San Francisco Giants, according to Jon Heyman on Twitter. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

After a few stellar seasons as a true shutdown left-handed setup man for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Watson appeared to take a small step back in 2016 and then looked to be out of gas at times in 2017. While not up to par with his usually dominant numbers, he was still more than serviceable out of the bullpen in 2017 and looked to be somewhat rejuvenated in the second half after being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. At a minimum for the Giants, he will see time against left-handed hitters, and he could once again settle in as a regular setup man.
