Jamie Garcia suffered his first loss of the season on Sunday afternoon as he surrendered six hits and four earned runs through five and a third innings pitched against the Yankees.

Garcia also struck out six batters and walked three during the contest. After a shaky start, Garcia settled down and held the Yankees' hard hitting lineup in check after giving up three runs in the first two innings. Garcia is off to quality start with his new team as he is currently sitting on a 4.57 ERA with 23 strikeouts through 21.2 innings. Garcia will draw an easier opponent next time out as he will likely toe the rubber at Rogers Centre against the Texas Rangers.
