Sergio Romo receives a blown save despite not allowing a run

by Douglas Roth | Sun, Jul 15th 11:06pm EDT

Sergio Romo pitched a scoreless inning in the Rays’ loss to the Twins on Sunday. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one. He lowered his season ERA to 3.83.

Fantasy Impact:

Romo may have blown the save today but did not allow any of his runners to score. This should not threaten his job especially because the Rays’ bullpen has struggled in the Twins series. The All-Star break should be good for the 35-year-old Romo because he has seen an uptick in usage over the last month.
