Johnny Cueto (elbow) placed on disabled list

San Francisco Giants starter Johnny Cueto has been placed on the disabled list, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. He had a recurrence of elbow pain recently and visited doctors earlier on Monday. (Alex Pavlovic on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Cueto already missed a significant amount of time with elbow pain earlier in the season, and a recurrence of that pain is not a good sign. He will now be placed on the 10-day disabled list, and it is a safe assumption that he will need to miss more than the required minimum. Monitor his status over the next two weeks for updates, but expect to look elsewhere for an impact starter down the stretch in fantasy.
