Steven Matz pitched five innings, allowing two hits and five walks, while striking out four. He did not allow any earned runs in the no decision on Tuesday against the Phillies.

Matz may not have picked up a win, but he did not allow any either, which makes playoff fantasy owners who took a chance starting Matz, happy. The walks were the only glaring stat for Matz throughout five innings and, other than that, he pitched well. Matz will be a pitcher that fantasy playoff owners can start if they want a safe pitcher.
