Clayton Kershaw goes seven strong in debut

by Matthew Davis | Dodgers Correspondent | Tue, Apr 16th 12:27am EDT

Clayton Kershaw went seven innings (84 pitches) in his season debut against the Reds. The two earned runs came in the first inning off a Yasiel Puig home run. While most want to knock Kershaw’s dip in velocity, the future HOF looked solid tonight with zero walks and six strikeouts.

Fantasy Impact:

This is an encouraging start to Kershaw’s 2019 outlook. His command and movement on breaking pitches was sharp. Kershaw’s next start will be a tough test on the road in Milwaukee. Stay tuned.
