Griffin Canning tosses six shutout innings, picks up fourth win

Griffin Canning (4-6) allowed four hits and one walk while striking out seven in six shutout innings in Tuesday’s 6-1 win over the Tigers. He picked up his fourth win of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Canning entered Tuesday’s contest with a 12.34 ERA in the month of July, but turned things around against the Tigers. He posted a 2.57 ERA in May, but has allowed 31 runs in 47 innings the past two months. His next scheduled start is Monday, away against the Reds.
