Braves outfielder Nick Markakis has opted back in for the 2020 season and is rejoining the team, according to a report from The Athletic's David O'Brien. (David O'Brien on Twitter)

Markakis was one of the early opt-outs for the 2020 season. After batting .285 with nine home runs in 116 games in 2020, he'll likely return to a platoon role with semi-regular playing time.
