Reds shortstop prospect Jose Garcia had his contract selected by the team on Wednesday, and he is starting at shortstop and batting eighth for today's game against the Brewers. (Reds on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Garcia is a Top 100 prospect but has never played above High-A ball, where he batted .280 with 58 runs scored, eight home runs, 55 RBI, and 15 stolen bases in 104 games last season. He was, however, turning heads in spring training before COVID-19 turned the world upside down. Garcia is worth a stash in most formats if you have the roster space, but it's probably best to temper expectations given his limited experience.
