Brad Miller hits 446-foot bomb in 7-1 win on Saturday

by Lucas Babits-Feinerman | Padres Correspondent | Sun, Sep 13th 1:45am EDT

Brad Miller led off the fourth inning with the home run to dead center field off Reds reliever Lucas Sims. He finished the game 1-4 with the home run and two strike outs. The Cardinals' improved to 20-19 with the win and control Second Place in the NL Central.

Fantasy Impact:

Miller has been very good for the Cardinals this season with a .274/.391/.537 slash-line in 95 at-bats this season. He hasn't been as effective in September as he was in August but he is still hitting in the heart of the Cardinals line-up behind OBP machine, Paul Goldschmidt. As such, Miller remains a recommended add for owners in 12-team standard redraft leagues but with less enthusiasm than two weeks ago when he was red hot.
