Padres GM A.J. Preller says that ace right-hander Mike Clevinger has been diagnosed with elbow posterior impingement. (Dennis Lin on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Clevinger got a cortisone shot on Friday and felt good afterwards. The latest report we got on his return was that the Padres are hoping to have him back for the NLCS (should they advance that far). We imagine that this will be an evolving story throughout the next week or two.
