Dellin Betances exercising 2021 player option

Dellin Betances will exercise his $6.8 million player option for 2021 by Sunday's deadline. (Mark Feinsand on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Betances struggled mightily in 2020, posting a (0-1) record along with a 7.71 ERA, 2.06 WHIP and 11 strikeouts over 11 2/3 innings. He dealt with a lat injury in September which most likely contributed to his struggles. Betances is expected to be in a setup role once again for the Mets in 2021.
