Manny Machado went 1-5 with a single, a run scored, and 2 strikeouts in the Padres' win over the Giants on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
Machado is slashing just .228/.322/.362 on the young season. Machado has hit the ball extremely had this year, but hasn't seemed to get a break on many of the hard line drives he has hit. The longer Machado goes without a turnaround, the more unlikely it is he'll be able to get his numbers back up to where fantasy managers expect them to be based on Machado's ADP. Machado still has plenty of time to catch fire for a few weeks and turn things around, but it seems like that has been the expectation for a couple weeks now. He's still worth starting everyday because of how often he hits the ball hard.
