Jack Flaherty pitched six shutout innings against the Brewers on Thursday afternoon, yielding only four hits and two walks while striking out six. Flaherty won his seventh consecutive decision and now leads the majors in wins with a 7-0 record.
Fantasy Impact:
Flaherty pitched seven scoreless innings in his previous outing against the Rockies and has much more closely resembled his dominant 2019 form this season as opposed to his struggles in 2020. The Cardinals 25-year-old ace remains undefeated while holding a sterling 2.47 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 48 strikeouts in 47 1/3 innings. He’ll have another very favorable matchup next week at home against the Pirates and will look to extend his 16-inning scoreless streak.
