Albert Pujols drives in three runs on Saturday

by Jon Mathisen | Sun, May 30th 1:14am EDT

First baseman Albert Pujols went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, and three RBI in the Dodgers’ 11-6 loss to the Giants on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Pujols collected his first hit in the sixth inning when he smacked an RBI double off of Scott Kazmir to pull the Dodgers within three runs. He then swatted a two-run tater in the bottom of the eighth inning, which proved to be inconsequential to the outcome of the game. The veteran slugger has enjoyed some moderate success at the plate since coming over from the Angels. He’s hit two homers and driven in eight runs over 34 at-bats in a Dodgers’ uniform. He doesn’t play everyday though and is slashing a meager .235/.278/.471, which makes him unreliable in fantasy.
