Ryan Weathers was great on the mound. Through his four shutout innings he allowed just two hits and three walks while striking out four.

Weathers added to his impressive showing on the mound by also launching a ball over the fence to give the Padres a 2-0 lead. Weathers may have just been making a spot start, but he certainly made his case for more starting work moving forward.
