MJ Melendez homers in loss to Astros Tuesday

MJ Melendez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Kansas City’s 9-7 loss to Houston on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Melendez homered for the third time in two games since his day off on Sunday. Unfortunately for him, neither big day at the plate lead to Kansas City victories. Melendez is slashing .225/.317/.429 with nine homers and 21 RBI through his first 53 career games. Melendez has a lock on the catching position until Salvador Perez (thumb) returns and even then, as earlier this season, Melendez will continue to see everyday at-bats and fantasy managers have a catcher that plays 6-7 games a week and that’s a huge asset at a shallow position.
