Wander Franco (hand) dealing with soreness, sits out rehab appearance

by Andersen Pickard | Rays Correspondent | Thu, Aug 18th 9:22am EDT

Rays shortstop Wander Franco's rehab assignment has been delayed as he deals with soreness in his surgically repaired hand, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. (Tampa Bay Times)

Fantasy Impact:

Franco was forced out of Tuesday's Triple-A game and is not expected to miss too much time. However, his targeted return date of this upcoming weekend no longer looks feasible. The 21-year-old rising phenom has appeared in 58 big-league games this season, slashing .260/.308/.396 with a 6.9 BB%, 10.5 K%, and 104 wRC+. He should continue to be rostered in all redraft and dynasty leagues.
