Austin Voth strikes out six in fine outing Sunday

by Owen Klukas | Mariners Correspondent | Sun, Sep 25th 9:07pm EDT

Austin Voth (5-3) allowed one earned run on four hits over five innings, resulting in a no-decision in the 6-3 defeat to the Astros in extra innings. The right-hander struck out six and yielded zero walks in the 83-pitch outing.

Fantasy Impact:

Voth delivered one of his best starts this season against a quality Astros team. His six strikeouts tied his season-high in K's for a start. Additionally, the righty produced eight whiffs and generated an average pitch velocity of 85.2. Unfortunately, the Washington product hasn't reached the six inning mark in a start since August 28th. Voth owns a 4.19 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and a 87/29 K/BB ratio on the year. The Redmond native is scheduled to start versus the Yankees in New York on September 30.
