Andrew Chafin threw a scoreless ninth inning to save a 3-2 win over the Twins on Saturday. Chafin struck out two and did not allow a base runner in the outing.

Chafin got the save chance after the Tigers used regular closer Gregory Soto in the eighth. Chafin picked up four swinging strikes on just 13 pitches in the appearance. He now has a 2-3 record, 2.89 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, two saves, 19 holds, and 64 strikeouts in 56 innings of work in 2022.
