Matt Manning optioned to Triple-A

Fantasy Impact:
Manning had been in competition with Casey Mize and Reese Olson for the final two spots in the rotation but has become the odd man out. He worked to a solid 3.38 ERA in five spring outings this season but also allowed six home runs in 16 innings of work. He will still be a notable part of the Tigers rotation but will need to get back to his strikeout ways and stay healthy to become fantasy relevant.
