Charlie Morton Stumbles Against Mets, Fantasy Value Wobbles

by Matthew Adam | Braves Correspondent | Tue, Apr 9th 8:28am EDT

In a less-than-stellar outing against the New York Mets, Charlie Morton's recent performance has left fantasy managers scratching their heads.

Fantasy Impact:

Throwing 105 pitches over just 5.2 innings, Morton allowed five hits and, more concerningly, five walks, leading to four earned runs. His ability to strike out only four batters is a far cry from what fantasy enthusiasts have come to expect from the veteran right-hander. Despite this, Morton's ERA sits at a respectable 3.18 through his first two starts of the season, with a WHIP of 1.32 and a strikeout-to-walk ratio that has dipped to 1.43.
