Cal Raleigh Powers Up, Mariners Fall Short

by Jesse Garcia | Mariners Correspondent | Wed, May 22nd 10:39pm EDT

Cal Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in the Mariners' 7-3 loss to the Yankees.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite the team's defeat, Raleigh's performance was a silver lining as he added another homer to his tally, bringing his season total to 11. His power is evident, but his .219 batting average and high strikeout rate (.347) continue to be areas of concern for fantasy managers. While the home runs and RBI are beneficial, his inconsistency at the plate could be a liability. Owners should consider Raleigh a risky play, best suited for formats that heavily reward power numbers.
