Curtis Granderson homers twice off bench in Mets' 7-4 win over the Marlins

by Nick Ritrivi | Wed, Aug 31st 10:10am EDT

Coming off the bench last night for the Mets, the struggling Curtis Granderson had two at bats and homered both times, driving in three runs. Granderson, who has been abysmal with RISP this season, now has 22 homers. Incredibly, despite hitting 22 homers, Granderson only has 38 RBI on the season exemplifying his struggles hitting when the Mets have RISP.

Fantasy Impact:

Granderson is a decent fantasy OF 5 in only the deepest of leagues and/or NL-only leagues. Batting just .223 on the season, Granderson is only a valuable start if you can somehow predict the one game in ten when he is going to successfully homer or drive in runs. Unfortunately, that's near to impossible. If rostered, he is best left on the bench.
