Evan Engram signs rookie deal

The New York Giants and tight end Evan Engram have agreed to a four-year deal on Thursday. (Giants on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Engram signed his rookie deal Thursday and is a player who can make an immediate impact in 2017 on a Giants' team that hasn't employed a marquee tight end since Jeremy Shockey. Although the rookie has the upside to be special, he is built like a wide receiver, a position that New York is loaded at. Plus, if he struggles at run blocking, he could lose playing time to either Will Tye or Jerell Adams. Despite already being slated as the starter, I'd tread lightly on targeting Engram early on in fantasy drafts. He is a late-round flier at best unless he shows something special in the preseason which could slightly raise his stock.
