Allen Robinson II

Allen Robinson limited by quarterback play

by Jake Krizmanich | Fri, Aug 18th 7:56am EDT

Allen Robinson finished Thursday night's preseason matchup against the Buccaneers with 5 receptions on 10 targets for 40 yards.

Fantasy Impact:

Thursday's exhibition game highlighted the good and the bad for Robinson as a fantasy option. He is clearly the most talented receiver on the Jaguars' roster and remains the top-option for the team; however, Blake Bortles is the one throwing him the ball. The struggles of Bortles were on display during a play in which Robinson blazed past a Buccaneers defender, only to have Bortles underthrow him by several yards. The coaching staff has stated that the starting quarterback job is up for grabs, which could change Robinson's situation. Fantasy owners should find solace in the fact that the Jaguars' game plan is to target the talented receiver early and often.
