Indianapolis Colts D/ST torched by Cardinals, but forces field goals

by Mark Leipold | Colts Correspondent | Mon, Sep 18th 8:52am EDT

The Colts defense allowed over 400 yards against the Cardinals, one touchdown, and three field goals (16 points including the game-winning field goal in overtime). The unit forced one fumble from Carson Palmer but did not recover it for a turnover, and intercepted Palmer once in a deep throw. They also registered four sacks.

Fantasy Impact:

The Colts defense was able to stifle a struggling Cardinals rushing attack, which was without one of the league's elite offensive players in RB David Johnson. This shouldn't cause anyone to rush out and pick them up, as they are still one of the weaker defenses in the league, particularly in the passing game without Vontae Davis. They might be worth using only against the Jets, but they don't play the Jets in 2017. Barring a significant change in performance, the Colts D/ST should remain on the waiver wire.
