Kelvin Benjamin catches first touchdown as a Bill

by Mike Mahern | Sun, Dec 10th 10:46pm EST

Despite playing in wintry conditions which stifled the passing offenses of both teams, Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin managed his first receiving touchdown since being traded to his new team on Halloween, in their week 14 overtime win over the visiting Indianapolis Colts. It was a good news/bad news day for Benjamin. The good: Three receptions on eight targets for 38 yards and the aforementioned score, each of which led the team. The bad: He re-aggrivated a knee injury which kept him out of action for the team's last two games. His status for the Bills' week 15 contest with the Miami Dolphins is unclear as of this posting.

Fantasy Impact:

It's hard to properly evaluate Benjamin off of this game due to all the mitigating factors at play, between the conditions, his injury, and the uncertainty at the QB position. Benjamin is a talented receiver and situationally worth a spot in your lineup, but the variables influencing his playing status and/or viability makes it wise to explore other more reliable options, especially in a playoff matchup in season-long leagues.
