DeShone Kizer nearly earns first win

by Mark Leipold | Mon, Dec 11th 10:38am EST

DeShone Kizer completed 20 of 28 pass attempts for 214 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions in the Browns' Week 14 overtime loss to the Packers. He added 7 rushing yards on 2 carries.

Fantasy Impact:

Kizer played pretty well for most of the game, but made a couple of rookie mistakes as we've come to expect. It's not a stretch to say this was his best game as a pro, though. Kizer has definitely benefitted from the return of Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman. Kizer is actually on a bit of a hot streak for fantasy as well, despite the Browns struggling. The Browns host Baltimore in Week 15, a team that just surrendered over 500 yards to Ben Roethlisberger. Without Jimmy Smith in the secondary, Kizer is a viable option heading into fantasy semifinals. He adds upside with his legs, and can be considered over some other back-end fantasy starters or as a Carson Wentz replacement if available.
