Trey Burton to sign with Bears

by Mike Tagliere | Tue, Mar 13th 11:25am EDT

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Bears have agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth $32 million with tight end Trey Burton. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Bears have been busy in free agency, using the money they have available under the cap. After signing Allen Robinson, they add the up-and-coming Burton to Mitch Trubisky's stable of pass-catchers. In the two games Zach Ertz missed last year, Burton stepped in and totaled seven catches for 112 yards and three touchdowns, with the Eagles offense barely missing a beat. Many believed that Burton was the hottest free agent tight end available, and apparently the Bears agreed after showing interest in Jimmy Graham yesterday. New head coach Matt Nagy may have found the player he'll look to emulate Travis Kelce's game in Chicago. This is obviously a huge knock to Adam Shaheen's fantasy value.
