Xavien Howard not bothered by trade rumors

Miami cornerback Xavien Howard is coming off the best season of his career and is looking for a new contract. As the Dolphins appear to be in rebuilding mode, they are less likely to be willing to pay top market money to their star cornerback. As people around the league realize this, the trade rumors have begun to swirl around Howard, who says he’s not bothered by the talk. “I seen that. No, the trade rumors do not bother me,” Howard said, via Cameron Wolfe of ESPN. “It is what it is. It’s a business. Be prepared for it. Wherever I go, it don’t matter; I’m still going to be busting my butt.” (ESPN )
Fantasy Impact:
Howard acknowledged that extension talks have not yet happened, saying he doesn't think the Dolphins are "in a rush to do anything.” After making his first Pro Bowl in 2018 on the back of his seven interception performance, the 2016 second-rounder is set for a big payday whether it’s in Miami or elsewhere.
