Melvin Gordon given permission to seek trade

Fantasy Impact:
This is a step in the right direction, as the Chargers originally shot down Gordon and his representation’s trade request in the beginning of August. He could also come back to the Chargers, but this is a significant step in a contract holdout that has had little to no movement since the beginning of training camp. Gordon is expected to hold out into the regular season in an effort to secure a long term deal. Unless a trade happens, look for Gordon to miss a portion of the 2019 campaign.
