Bears are trying to work out a deal with Teddy Bridgewater

by Dave Kluge | Mon, Mar 16th 1:50pm EDT

The Bears are reported to be talking with Teddy Bridgewater, with numbers around $21M per year which would make him the starter. (Pro Football Talk)

Fantasy Impact:

Bridgewater looked fantastic in relief for the injured Drew Brees last season when he went 5-0. He was expected to get paid this offseason and the Bears would be a great fit given the talent they have in offensive skill players. Mitch Trubisky has struggled to progress through his career and Bridgewater, a 2014 first-round pick, showed a lot of promise in Minnesota before suffering a severe injury and playing the last two season behind Drew Brees. Given the Bears' weapons and defense, landing in Chicago would be great for Bridgewater's value.
