Hayden Hurst will not have fifth-year option exercised by Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons will not exercise the fifth-year option on TE Hayden Hurst, making him a free agent ahead of the 2022 season. (Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This makes sense since the Falcons spent the 4th overall pick on a generational tight end in Kyle Pitts. Hurst is going to see his role as a pass-catching tight end decrease this season with Pitts working as the team’s primary pass-catching tight end. Hurst likely falls outside the top-20 tight ends this season.
