Him separating his shoulder in the preseason opener cost him the entire preseason, but he's expected back for Week 1. The bad news is that they signed Alfred Morris during that time, and he's likely the better 1-2 down back. Now that Jerick McKinnon is out for the year, Breida has a locked-in role as the better pass-catcher out of the backfield and he should be mixed in on first and second downs. Game-script will likely decide which of these running backs is the better play each week.
