FanDuel NFL Lineup Advice: Week 10 (Mini Slate)

Welcome to the Week 10 NFL FanDuel Mini article. In this article, we will be taking a look at a relatively new slate that was introduced about half-way through the MLB season this year. Unlike ar9e traditional FanDuel NFL lineup, you only have to roster five players (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR) in the FanDuel Mini format.

One other slight difference is that all tight ends also appear as wide receivers, so you do have the option of using a tight end if you choose to do so. The total salary cap ($60,000) is the same as a traditional NFL FanDuel lineup, but they do scale the salaries up a little bit to accommodate the smaller roster size. Let’s take a look at my lineup for the FanDuel Mini slate in Week 10.

Quarterback

Ben Roethlisberger (PIT): $9,500 at IND
Normally I do not trust Ben Roethlisberger on the road, but this matchup is too good to ignore. As you may recall, Roethlisberger did really well against the Colts in Indy last season on Thanksgiving night, throwing for 221 yards and three scores. Not much has changed with the Colts’ defense, and he should be a great bargain this Sunday with a ton of upside.

Running Back

Le’Veon Bell (PIT): $14,000 at IND
By using Roethlisberger, it frees up some salary to spend up at multiple spots in our lineup. I’m going to spend up for Le’Veon Bell this Sunday against the Colts considering they have allowed the third-most FanDuel points to opposing running backs this season.

Todd Gurley (LAR): $14,500 vs. HOU
If you read my players to fade article yesterday here on FantasyPros, you may think I am contradicting myself with listing Todd Gurley in this article. However, I stated that I was only fading him because of salary. In this format his salary does not restrict you from spending up at other spots, so he is definitely in play.

The Texans have done pretty well against the run this season, but that does not scare me since the Rams should be in complete control of this game. Therefore, the volume will be there for one of the top running backs in the NFL.

Wide Receiver

Antonio Brown (PIT): $14,500 at IND
To complete my trio of Steelers’ players, I plan on using Antonio Brown. This is one of the rare situations where you can trust three players from the same team in your lineup since a large percentage of the touches and targets funnel through Brown and Bell.

Brown carved the Colts up last Thanksgiving night for five receptions, 91 yards, and three touchdowns. Their secondary has not improved much from last season, so we should feel confident that Brown will do well again.

Sterling Shepard (NYG): $7,500 at SF
Another cheap option who I really love this week is Sterling Shepard. In his first game back from injury, Shepard caught five passes for 70 yards on nine targets.

After Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall went down with season-ending injuries, Eli Manning does not have much to throw to outside of Evan Engram and Shepard. These two should continue to have a very large role in the Giants’ passing game and this week they have a great matchup against the 49ers.
