The injuries keep mounting as we move onto Week 7, and the fantasy baseball injury report is here to keep you updated as you set your lineups.
Jose Altuve (2B – HOU) had to be removed from Friday’s game after straining his left hamstring Friday. He went on the 10-day injured list Sunday and does not have an official timetable set for his return. The Astros do not think this is a serious injury, so the return may be sooner rather than later. Altuve is typically a durable player, with this only being the second IL stint of his MLB career. Aledmys Diaz is set to see a push in playing time while Altuve is on the shelf.
David Price (SP – BOS) was placed on the 10-day injured list May 6 with elbow tendinitis. He played catch this week and had a bullpen session Sunday. He is not expected to need a rehab start and should be able to return to the Red Sox either this weekend or early next week.
Khris Davis (UT – OAK) has been dealing with a hip contusion since leaving May 5’s game. He returned to the lineup Wednesday, but he had to leave from that game as well. After sitting the next three days, he started on Sunday and should be fine to use this week.
Here are a few more injuries to track this week.

Tyler Glasnow (SP – TB)
Glasnow is expected to miss four-six weeks with a mild forearm strain. The early-season ace was placed on the 10-day injured list May 11, so may be able to return near mid-June at the earliest.
Max Fried (SP – ATL)
Fried was hit with a ball Tuesday and had to exit the game. X-rays were negative, and he made his scheduled start Sunday at Arizona. He allowed three runs over five innings with seven strikeouts and a walk.
Buster Posey (C – SF)
Posey was placed on the seven-day injured list Thursday with a concussion. He does not currently have a set date for his return but is hopeful that he can still catch.
Nelson Cruz (UT – MIN)
Cruz left Sunday’s game with a wrist injury and is currently listed as day-to-day pending the results of Monday’s MRI.
Dee Gordon (2B – SEA)
Gordon has not played since getting hit by a pitch Thursday. He is currently listed as day-to-day with a wrist injury but is not expected to need a stint on the injured list.
Steven Matz (SP – NYM)
Matz, originally expected to only miss a few days, had tests May 6 that revealed radial nerve discomfort in his left arm. He was placed on the 10-day injured list May 9, retroactive to May 5. He does not currently have a return date set.
Francisco Mejia (C – SD)
San Diego placed Mejia on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left knee sprain. He may be able to return when first eligible.
Vince Velasquez (SP – PHI)
Velasquez was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a forearm strain. He does not currently have a timetable to return.
Ryan Braun (1B/OF – MIL)
Braun was not in the lineup this weekend because of hamstring tightness. He is currently listed as day-to-day.
Brandon Belt (1B – SF)
Belt had to leave Friday’s game early due to inflammation in his right knee. Although he did not start over the weekend, he homered off the bench on Sunday.
