Austin Ekeler ($5.67, Projected Finish: 30)

Despite coming off a full-fledged rout of the Detroit Lions, the Philadelphia Eagles are still allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs, and Ekeler will arguably be the best running back they’ve faced yet (one could argue Zeke Elliott, to whom they surrendered 95 rushing yards and two touchdowns). Ekeler is due for a big day on the ground. He’s only posted one game with more than 66 rushing yards. Still, that isn’t for lack of efficiency, as Ekeler is averaging 5.0 yards per carry. He’s also an elite pass-catching back, which adds to his fantasy profile this week.

Jordan Love ($3.00, Projected Finish: 52)

Highlighting a slate of budget-friendly player stocks is new Packers, QB Jordan Love. We’ve only seen him in one game this season (aside from kneel-downs), in which he completed five of seven attempts for 68 yards and lost a fumble. This selection is a bet against the Kansas City Chiefs defense. Only one defense (The WFT, and they’re on a bye) has allowed opposing quarterbacks more fantasy points per game. They’ve surrendered 14 passing touchdowns and four rushing touchdowns to QBs. Love has arguably the best receiver in the league to throw to Davante Adams and an ensemble of other weapons. Additionally, the Packers are seven-point underdogs in a game projected to be relatively high-scoring (48 points). If the Packers are playing from behind, they’ll likely be throwing, meaning more opportunities for Love to earn fantasy points.

Adam Thielen ($2.92, Projected Finish: 53

Over the last two games, Thielen has had 17 catches for 204 yards and two touchdowns. The Ravens’ cornerbacks, Marlon Humphrey and Anthony Averett are in the top five yards allowed when targeted, despite only playing seven games. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Vikings utilize a pass-heavy game plan to attack the Ravens, and right now, Thielen is the hottest Minnesota pass catcher and cheaper than teammate Justin Jefferson. However, I wouldn’t scoff at a Jefferson start either.

Jared Cook ($1.20, Projected finish: 77

Another week, another game of Eagles linebacker Alex Singleton getting picked apart in coverage. He’s allowed the third-most receptions (39) in the NFL and surrendered three touchdowns in coverage so far this season. Singleton also has allowed a passer rating of 121.0 when targeted. TJ Hockenson made this list last week for the same reason Cook is, because of the generous matchup, and Hock finished with ten catches for 89 yards. Cook has been targeted fewer than five times in only two games this season, and, though Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are the premiere receiving threats, this matchup is too good to pass up. Don’t overspend for Cook, but if you’re looking for a budget-friendly option that could pay dividends, Cook is a solid option.
