News and Notes:
- Ever since the Rangers removed Joe Barlow (RP – TEX) from the close role, Martin took over and picked up three save opportunities in a row. He appears to be set into the closer role for Texas as of now and is worth an add if he is still available in your league.
- Corey Knebel (RP – PHI) has logged nine straight scoreless appearances out of the Phillies bullpen. It remains a committee situation for now but remains a situation to monitor as Knebel could find himself back in the closer role if his success continues.
- Holmes posted one of his worst performances of the season on Tuesday, blowing a 3-0 lead against the Reds. Aroldis Chapman (RP – NYY) has posted a scoreless outing in three of his last four appearances. Holmes remains the closer for now, but it is a situation to monitor.
