Headlines
Latavius Murray signs with the Denver Broncos
In the wake of the devastating Javonte Williams injury, the Broncos moved quickly to bring in reinforcements, signings Murray off the Saints’ practice squad. He’ll join Melvin Gordon and Mike Boon in what is now likely to be a pretty messy backfield in Denver.
Jonathan Taylor, Colts get good news
Initial tests on Taylor’s ankle came back negative, and he hasn’t even been ruled out for Thursday yet. While Thursday might be pushing it, the fact that it’s even a possibility at this point is a great sign.
Russell Wilson is apparently dealing with a minor shoulder injury
It doesn’t sound overly serious, but it’s noteworthy, with Denver playing on Thursday. It sounds like he is expected to play despite the short turnaround, but this is worth monitoring nonetheless. The Broncos host the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football this week.

Kenny Pickett expected to be starter going forward
According to ESPN’s Ian Rapoport, the Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to start rookie QB Kenny Pickett going forward, moving on from QB Mitchell Trubisky as the starter. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Pickett had a mixed-bag debut in the NFL, completing all but three passes with the three incompletions being interceptions. However, the Steelers’ offense has been anemic to start the season. Pickett might not improve it right away, but a switch gives him the opportunity to get better heading forward. Steelers players can’t be played with enormous confidence, but there’s hope for a late-season surge.

Wan’Dale Robinson (knee) ‘making progress’
Giants coach Brian Daboll said Wan’Dale Robinson is making progress and the Giants will see where is at on Thursday. (Source: Dan Duggan on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: The Giants are already down Sterling Shepard and Kenny Golladay suffered a knee injury, so the wide receiver room is extremely banged up. Kadarius Toney (hamstring) is also making progress and Daboll said the team will also see where he is at on Thursday ahead of Sunday’s international game against the Packers.

Gus Edwards (knee) to start practicing
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Gus Edwards will start practicing. (Source: Jamison Hensley on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Edwards continues to work his way back from a torn ACL suffered prior to last season. The Ravens will have 21 days to put him on the active roster as he will likely continue to be eased back.

Jahan Dotson (hamstring) expected to miss 1-to-2 weeks
Jahan Dotson is dealing with a hamstring injury that will likely leave him out for 1-to-2 weeks, according to head coach Ron Rivera. (Source: Ari Meirov on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Dotson left Washington’s Week 4 matchup in the fourth quarter with this injury, and it looks like it will force him to miss some time. The wideout was one of Carson Wentz’s favorite red zone targets through the first few weeks of the season, so this could open up more touchdown opportunities for Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel or Logan Thomas. With the rookie wideout out, those three options should see an increased target share while Cam Sims may see the field a bit more.

Brian Robinson Jr. medically cleared, could be activated soon
Brian Robinson Jr. has been medically cleared and will be activated from the injured list at some point in the next three weeks, according to head coach Ron Rivera. (Source: Nicki Jhabvala on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: The exact words used by Rivera were that Robinson will “start his clock” to be activated, which can last up to three weeks. Earlier reports signal that his return could come earlier than that mark, but that remains to be seen. The running back dominated training camp before sustaining two gunshot wounds in late August, and depending on the timeline, he could have an immediate role in the offense upon his return. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats.

Tua Tagovailoa (head) ruled out for Week 5 vs. Jets
Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel announced Monday that Tua Tagovailoa has officially been ruled out for Week 5’s matchup against the Jets as reported by Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post. (Source: Hal Habib on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Tua suffered a head/neck injury and possible brain damage in Week 4, exacerbating a likely concussion that was misdiagnosed in Week 3. Tua remains out indefinitely as he recovers from multiple head trauma within days of each other and the effects thereof. Fantasy managers should make other plans at QB for the foreseeable future, possibly the rest of the season, as the season heads into Week 5 and beyond. Veteran Teddy Bridgewater, who took over in Week 4 when Tua exited, will continue to start at quarterback for Miami, presumably as long as Tua is out. Bridgewater completed 14-of-23 pass attempts with one touchdown and one interception in relief of Tua against the Bengals. He is a serviceable quarterback but should not be expected to be a 1:1 replacement for Tua’s fantasy managers, even throwing to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but they could do a lot worse while without the lefty’s services.

Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) being placed on injured reserve
Cordarrelle Patterson is going on IR and will miss at least four games due to his knee injury, according to multiple reports. (Source: Ari Meirov on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Patterson played on Sunday despite being questionable but received just nine carries. Subsequent reports indicate that he had a minor procedure performed this morning that necessitated the move to injured reserve. With Patterson out, rookie running back Tyler Allgeier is expected to play a larger role in the Atlanta backfield. Fellow RB Damien Williams is also on IR and is eligible to return Week 6.

Treylon Burks diagnosed with turf toe
Treylon Burks has been diagnosed with turf toe after being carted off in the Titans’ Week 4 win. He does not need surgery but is expected to miss some time. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Burks could land on IR if he is expected to miss at least four games as he rehabs from turf toe. Thankfully he will not require surgery so he will be back at some point this season. Fantasy managers should expect Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to see a bump in targets with Burks out.

Scoops and Scores
If you went into Monday Night Football needing points from Cooper Kupp (14 – 122- 0) or Deebo Samuel (6 -115 – 1), you were in luck.
If you needed points from Cam Akers, well…

Allen Robinson…
There were certainly ways Allen Robinson could've hit the low-end of his range of outcomes this year but no way did I expect him to be a cardio-only player for the Rams, especially with how much they talked him up in training camp.
Very weird. Hate to see it. https://t.co/J44cP5gpUU
