Kenta Maeda gave up two hits (one home run), walked two, and struck out one in two innings of work Monday against the Colorado Rockies.
Fantasy Impact:
In his rookie season, Maeda threw 175 2/3 innings and accumulated a 3.48 ERA with a 9.19 K/9 and 11.6% swinging strike rate. Lefties had a .730 OPS against him, compared to a .580 OPS against righties. His home ERA was 3.22 and 3.74 on the road. He is one of the safer fantasy pitchers out there with the ability to miss bats. ECR (Expert Consensus Ranking) has him as the 27th overall pitcher and 97th overall player. He is currently being drafted as the 35th pitcher and 103rd overall player off the board.
