Dansby Swanson finding his groove this spring

by Steve Painter | Cubs Correspondent | Fri, Mar 23rd 9:02pm EDT

Dansby Swanson has had a pretty vanilla spring thus far. He's an anemic 10-for-47 (.213) at the plate with a triple and two home runs with seven runs scored. He's demonstrated a good eye with seven walks and has whiffed eight times. He has three stolen bases and four RBIs. His stat line thus far reads .213/.327/.383 with a .710 OPS.

Fantasy Impact:

Swanson is out from under the spotlight and has been working at his craft. He has not been great and he's not been bad this spring. He seems poised for a decent year but he's still developing a bit. He's cheap in drafts, priced about right, and he won't embarrass you at that cost. But he's not likely to win you a championship either, batting eighth this year.
