Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino is being shut down for two weeks after an MRI revealed rotator cuff inflammation. In addition to rest, he will receive an injection and anti-inflammatories before resuming his normal throwing program. (Bryan Hoch on Twitter)

The Yankees seemed optimistic about the results of Severino's MRI despite the inflammation, although this diagnosis means that he will likely miss opening day.
