Brandon Lowe lands on the injured list

Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe has been placed on the 10-day IL with a right shin bone bruise. The move is retroactive to July 3. Lowe fouled a ball off his right leg two days ago and had to leave the game. (Juan Toribio on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The move is certainly disappointing for Lowe, who had just been named to the All-Star team. This move seems more procedural than anything, however, and it is expected that Lowe should be ready to rejoin the team after the All-Star break.
