Marco Gonzales (10-8) allowed six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five in Tuesday's 9-2 loss to the Athletics. He was saddled with his eighth loss of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Gonzales had given up three runs or less in six consecutive starts entering Tuesday's game. Most of the damage against him was in the fifth inning, when he allowed back-to-back home runs. Gonzales owns a 4.48 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with 87 strikeouts in 120 2/3 innings pitched for the Mariners this season. His next scheduled start is Monday, home against the Rangers.
