Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon left Wednesday's game against the Giants after being hit in the foot by a pitch, but manager Dave Martinez said after the game that Rendon should be fine. (Jesse Dougherty on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Nationals fans and Rendon fantasy owners can all exhale now. The third baseman apparently iced the sore toe and told the team that he was OK. There is still a chance that further tests (if they have not yet been completed) could show an injury, but the initial news that he is feeling good after the game is about the best possible scenario. The Nationals are off on Thursday, so look to see if he is in the lineup on Friday against the Mets.
